Judith will always ask the following questions when deciding on window treatments:

• How much light control do you need in the room?

• What degree of privacy would you like?

• Do you need the window for ventilation?

• Is energy efficiency a concern?

• Will children and/or pets be living in the house?

• How formal or casual do you want the room to be? What is the desired decor?

• What is the overall mood or effect that you want to achieve?

 

Keep in mind: You may want to begin with basic shades, blinds or shutters and then embelish with drapes, top treatments, etc. at a later point, particularly if this is new construction. Judith may suggest inexpensive temporary pleated paper shades cut to fit, untill your decisions are made, or your custom treatments are installed.
